Notice of Public Hearing for 2024 Proposed Budget

  NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING      
  FOR THE TOWN OF AMHERST      
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on WEDNESDAY, November 8, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town of Amherst
Hall, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2024 BUDGET will be held.  The proposed budget is  
available for inspection by calling 715-824-3476 or 715-824-2300  The following is a summary of the  
proposed 2024 budget:

  NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING      
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on WEDNESDAY November 8, 2023 immediately following the completion
of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2024 budget, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, a   
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS called pursuant to Section 60.12 (1)(a) of the Wis. Statues by the
Town Board for the following purposes will be held:        
     1. To adopt the 2024 town tax levy to be collected in 2025 pursuant to Section 60(1)(a) of Wis. Statues.
     2. To approve year 2024 highway expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01 (3) of Wis. Statues.  
Immediately following the completion of the Special Town Meeting of the Electores, a Town Board Meeting 
will be held to discuss and adopt the year 2024 Budget for the Town of Amherst.
