TOWN OF AMHERST RECYCLING AND GARBAGE
The Town of Amherst contracts its recycling and garbage pick-up through Harter’s Fox Valley Disposal. The schedule of Garbage pick-up every Wednesday with Recycling picked up every other Wednesday will continue. Pick-up is on Thursday for weeks with the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The first combined pickup for 2024 will be January 4, 2024 (Thursday due to the holiday). The complete 2024 calendar is posted on the town website.
Harter’s will also pick up large items for a fee. Call 888-804-8556 for details.
2024 Dog License Notice/Application
ALL dogs over the age of 5 months must be vaccinated for rabies and licensed under WI SS# 174-05.
The Town Treasurer will be at the Municipal Building (4023 County Road Q, Amherst Junction) on Saturday, January 27, February 24, and March 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to noon to process applications for dog licenses. In addition, the treasurer is available on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (town board meeting dates) from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Late fee of $5.00 per dog applied beginning April 1, 2024.
