2026 Proposed Budget Public Hearing and Special Town Meeting

  FOR THE TOWN OF AMHERST        
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Amherst  
Hall, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2026 BUDGET will be held.  The proposed budget is    
available for inspection by calling 715-824-3476 or 715-824-2300  The following is a summary of the    
proposed 2026 budget:

  NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING        
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2025 immediately following the completion  
of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2026 budget, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, a     
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS called pursuant to Section 60.12 (1)(a) of the Wis. Statues by the  
Town Board for the following purposes will be held:          
Question of authorization and final approval:  May the Town Board use unused levy limit capacity, as determined 
by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue in the amount of $104?        
     1. To adopt the 2026 town tax levy to be collected in 2027 pursuant to Section 60(1)(a) of Wis. Statues.  
     2. To approve year 2026 highway expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01 (3) of Wis. Statues.    
Immediately following the completion of the Special Town Meeting of the Electores, a Town Board Meeting   
will be held to discuss and adopt the year 2026 Budget for the Town of Amherst.
